So I’ve been inspired by the #bloggirls twitter tag to put this post together. I’ve not used a linky before so this is going to be interesting!
1 My loved ones
I’m rubbish at being on my own for more than 2 days, so I really appreciate that my parents are still around. Even though they are in another country essentially , it’s only a few hours on the motorway or by train. I love them to bits and we have a right laugh, even though they drive me mad on a daily basis when I’m with them! My boyfriend (I feel too old to use that term now I’m in my 30’s, I could change it to partner but having said that, some people assume I’m gay) … My bloke is my best mate. Even if I had a ton of mates I still think that statement would be true. I love him to bits and we have a right laugh, even though he drives me mad… I’m sensing a pattern here.
3 Beer & Pizza
I know that’s two things but they go together perfectly like curry & rice. Me and the bloke make amazing pizza for each other. We eat half and leave the other half to go cold, put it in the fridge and eat it the next day for breakfast. I’m telling you those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were really on to something.
2 Sunshine
I’m olive skinned and quite mard, if there is a slight chill in the air I’ll be wearing a cardy so I don’t get any where near as much vit D as I should. Sunshine lifts my mood and makes me feel so upbeat and happy!
4 My blog
It keeps me company when I’m alone. It gives me a chance to chat to people about the nuances of loving makeup and style and random weird things. It gives me an outlet to express myself. I like saying “I’m a blogger” rather than “I’m on the dole”. Is that pretentious? I’m also that annoying person the group has to wait for while I get just the right angle, light and composition for a photo. If I go somewhere and leave my camera at home I’m there thinking ‘damn that would’ve made a great shot’. On a recent ‘camera free’ day I spotted a pair of massive Shags (like a Cormorant) chilling out in my local park! No more ‘camera free’ days for me.
5 Buying Clothes
I’m a buying ninja. I can do a quick walk-about a shop surveying it for the exact item I’m looking for, then be out in under a minute. I love tracking down the item that I’ve had in my head for months (on the high street), it gives me a total buzz! I’ve taken friends shopping that don’t like it and they have been amazed at how efficient I’ve been. I don’t look like Gok Wan in a wig for nothing, you know. This of course leaves plenty of time for a blended ice based coffee with cream after. I won’t say the Frap.. word as I’m boycotting Starbucks for tax dodging and generally taking over Britain.
I love this list! I agree that blogging creates an awesome sense of community that helps if ever feeling lonely! Some of the biggest support I have gotten through my mom’s cancer has actually come from the blogging community, which I think is awesome.
And c’mon, who DOESN’T love pizza and beer? ๐ Haha! I love this whole list!

Ah, thanks hon, really ๐ I’m yet to find someone who doesn’t ha! I hope your Mum is doing well. It really does help to have someone to talk to during that and sometimes it can be easier if they aren’t always your nearest & dearest sometimes๐ xx

Eating pizza for breakfast! Love it! No love what you write about your blog and how it always keeps you company. I feel that way, too, but didn’t know the words to express it! xx

It’s like an interactive journal really and I always have something to motivate me, rather than just sit and eat cereal in front of the telly all day haha!
