First up LUSH Curly Wurly Coconut (£9.95) shampoo which has been specially formulated to put the curl back into coarse frizzy hair. This has actual bits of coconut in it! It’s like putting something Gwyneth Paltro would have for breakfast onto your head. I’d forgot to comb my hair before I got into the shower and was worried I’d end up with a mass of tangled goop but it lathered up fine and untangled my hair quite a bit. After rinsing it off, my hair didn’t feel like straw which happens with most brands.
Lush Retread Conditioner (£10.25) is for hair that’s been dyed, dried and styled to death and needs rescuing. I’m gentle with my hair but it’s so naturally coarse and frizzy it still needs that level of conditioning. Retread made my hair feel so silky the second I applied it, I could run my fingers right through it. I usually wrap my hair up and leave conditioner on for over 5 minutes but I deliberately skipped this step and rinsed it off with warm water rather than cold, to put the conditioner to the test.
I towel dried my hair, skipped the hair oil I normally use and refrained from flattening my usual halo of frizz with straighteners. This is the result.
At this point my hair would normally be a coarse, wiry mass of fluff, I was amazed by the result! My hair felt so soft and fell into defined curls around my shoulders. In fact, my hair is still so silky 3 days later my hair bobble keeps sliding off. The. Best. Hair. Products. Ever!
