This Leibster Award Matters Just as Much As The First

I’ve been nominated by the very lovely Katherine over at Teachez Well so how could I possibly refuse ^_^ Plus, I’ve not done one for a while so I thought it was time to start spreading the love again.

The ‘Liebster’ Award seems to have German connotations meaning dearest, sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing.

Which sex do you think has it easier in your culture? I’m sure it’s men in most cultures isn’t it. Although I’ve noticed a really sexist wave of feminism over the past two decades, where women flippantly call men lazy idiots that are useless with anything emotionally complex, or a washing machine. Very unfair to generalise!
What is your most treasured memory?  Me and the bloke sheltering from the rain under a row of tall trees in Amsterdam – our first holiday abroad.
For a person you loved deeply, would you be willing to move to a distant country knowing there would be little chance of seeing your friends or family again? I don’t think I could as I’d miss my Mum’s silly humour and her hugs.
For what in your life do you feel most grateful? My eye site. My spacial awareness (of where my own arms and legs are sometimes) is so bad, that I couldn’t cope with loosing that sense.
What makes you angry? Racism, bullying and narrow mindedness.
Did your schooling connect to your life? It didn’t even connect with my brain.
Have you seen a good movie lately? What made it good? Deadpool. Story, pacing, cross-over characters, action but mostly dialogue – his dialogue.
Who is the most important person in your life today? Some would say if we don’t value ourselves first, how can we even begin to love others. Yeah, it’s the bloke obviously.
What is the greatest accomplishment of your life? Keeping this blog going consistently. Longer than I’ve ever managed to commit to doing anything – apart from welcoming pizza into my life.
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as your dinner guest?   Deadpool. Although I think the bloke might get pissed off that he wouldn’t be able to get a word in edgeways and that he’d miss a lot of  pop-culture references.
What do you like best about your life? That it’s not under threat from terrorists or the government (no need for a comma there necessarily) or being caught up in war. I’m very lucky that it’s a relatively pampered one.

They say to nominate 5-10 bloggers so I nominate Haylee from Aloada Bobbins,  Mandy from The True UFO, Danielle from Girlie To Nerdy,  LC from Girl Getting Her Geek On, Anna from Don’t Cramp My Blog, Desiree from Xo_ Mermaid Kisses, Emma from Scruffy Little Nerd Herder and Heather from Ruby-Wings. Don’t worry if you don’t want to accept, I understand for some people it can be an unwanted pressure answering questions and nominating others but if you do, feel free to take your time :o)

Thanks for the nomination lovely! I don’t usually do awards but I shall share the love on Twitter. Some thought-provoking questions though – I’m toying with the idea of a Q&A so I’ll note these for possible future use!
