Much easier than I thought but I made two mistakes
1) I applied the pumpkin facing myself, rather than outward 😆
2) I went over the pumpkin with a sparkly nail varnish that wasn’t as sheer as I thought. I should have applied the sparkly coat before and then gone over the decal with a clear top coat (which I did with the cobweb decal).
I’ve got a new topcoat ordered from Orly Nails UK (with a fantastic easy grip lid).
This Hydrating Core Lipshine from @elfcosmetics is the best tinted lipbalm I’ve used for a very longtime.
This stick is hydrating anyway but the adorable little heart in the middle gives even more hydration.
There are a good choice of colours but seeing as we are going into Autumn I chose this burgundy, bordering on burnt-orange shade called ‘Happy’. It looks warm and naturally flattering on darker skin tones or more vibrant and vampy on paler skin tones. These Lip Shines have a good depth of colour which is easily buildable.
This can get a bit messy and don’t expect it to dry down but it’s not sticky and doesn’t have a funky smell or flavour so I love it!
Revolution Highlighter Reloaded in Raise The Bar, is like applying sunshine to your skin.
I’ve never before
a) Used a highlighter which looks like I am so naturally radiant
b) Found one which matches my cool, olive skin properly
c) Found a powder one which blends really well and isn’t drying
This is amazing!
Here I’m standing in front of a big window but on a very gloomy day and I’m not wearing any foundation or concealer JUST THE HIGHLIGHTER (photo makes me seem a little more warm toned than I actually am).
Because it includescool – almost green – tones it reduces the appearance of slight red patches too!
Today I’m sharing e.l.f Hydrating Coconut Mist (£8) with you. It really is saving my skin and my mood on these absolutely roasting days that we are having in England.
It contains hyaluronic acid, coconut oil, Vit E and B5 to hydrate, soften and sooth.
The mist has kept my skin cool around the house and hydrated even though I’ve been sitting in front of a (surprisingly drying) fan a lot of the time. It also soothes my skin which is prone to redness as a result of mild allergies.
Bonus use as a moisturising setting spray
Earlier I moisturised with e.l.f. day moisturiser and applied their matte foundation (necessary in this heat) which made me look quite flat and meh, so I sprayed the Hydrating mist over the top and still I look fresh faced (with my foundation intact) three hours later!

I’ve decided to try Wild refillable natural deodorant. I didn’t sign up for a renewable, letterbox subscription but instead, bought a one-off package with the metal case (I chose the Aqua shade) and 5 refills.
I chose 2 limited edition Lemon Meringue (you will smell like desert for hours) refills and 3 Coconut ones.
The case is recyclable and the refills are compostable!
I’ve been using natural stick deodorant for around three years now so I’ve not needed time to adjust and it’s working really well!
One thing I struggled with (possibly because of Dyspraxia and Hypermobilty) was pressing in the little buttons at the side to change the refill. Easier to get my carer to that as you do need some strength and it’s a bit fiddly.
Would you make the swap to a refillable natural deodorant?
