If You Like It Then You Should’a Put Some Bling On It!
Style Edit – Sammydress
When invited to review some items from Sammydress I noticed the amount of styles they provide seem almost endless. I decided to put three outfits together, one formal, one versatile and a more edgy street style look.
I really like this little black dress as it can be styled to be flirty, pretty or formal. It has a zip in the back and adjustable straps – little details which make a big difference to the fit.
I was so pleased to find this style of dress after a lot of searching as it is so versatile to style up or down (I was going to style it with a chunky silver statement necklace but decided to keep it neutral to just show off the dress). I’ve worn this style bar hopping in winter, to al fresco dinner on a chilly summer evening and for shopping trips on overcast rainy autumn days and I’ve always felt comfortable and stylish.
I have always wanted a PVC mini skirt to wear with chunky black boots and a band tee. I love the sexy colour of this skirt but unfortunately this one has no zip so you are basically fighting to get in and out of a tiny, non stretchy tube. It also has no little split anywhere so walking feels like you are bound by cling film/saran wrap! Hmm, I shall wear this for occasions where I won’t be doing much moving, eating, drinking and breathing then lol
After browsing the Sammydress site I’d found the exact items (colour, fit, style) that I’d had in mind at the start, which is an absolute first for me from a single website. The low prices across the site mean that you can buy a whole outfit for the price of one item in popular high street shops. Sammy dress also have extensive swimwear and plus size sections.
The only thing I found difficult was that because the clothes are by all different brands, the sizes differ wildly in size, not just the format it’s written in. For instance, one brands XL might be another brands Medium so it’s really important to check the size comparison charts for each item. If I n doubt over a very fitted item I’d suggest getting the size above the one you would normally go for.

Style Tip: To stop the ends of a wavy or frizzy pony tail from spreading out wildly, cover it with a wide home made hair bobble. Cut a strip off old laddered black tights at their narrowest part, then roll the strip until there’s no raw edge, then wrap it around your ponytail several times to create a deeper hair bobble. This will make your pony tail narrower at the base to stop it spreading out so it’s nice and sleek. It has the same effect as those plastic cones from the 80’s but looks a lot less noticeable!
